5th Grade Yearbook Committee- April/May
Help create a memorable keepsake for our graduating 5th graders! Work with a team to design and produce the yearbook by creating page layouts, selecting designs, and organizing student, teacher, and class photos. Most of the work takes place throughout April, with the final yearbook submitted for printing in early May.

Event Committees

After School Clubs- Fall/Winter/Spring
Teacher-led after school clubs are offered to the students for a fee. Volunteer would help organize the offerings and is the coordinator for the teachers and parents. Clubs are offered in the Fall, Winter and Spring and cover varied topics: sports, games, art, etc.

Art to Remember- Fall
Help coordinate Art to Remember, a fundraiser that transforms students' artwork into personalized keepsakes and gifts for families, such as magnets, notepads, mugs, and ornaments. Work with Ms. Brown to collect student artwork, prepare and ship it to the vendor, distribute order information to families, organize returned materials, and sort completed orders for distribution at the school.

Take Out Tuesday- Occur Monthly, Prep Time Flexible!
Coordinate restaurant fundraising nights with established restaurant partners. Fundraising nights- where the restaurant donates a percentage of sales back to the school. Families dine at the restaurant during the designated time, and a portion of their purchases is donated to support school programs and events. Timing: Monthly throughout the school year. Most planning and coordination can be completed on a flexible schedule prior to each Takeout Tuesday event.

Teacher Appreciation Committee
Plan and set-up various events and teacher appreciation celebrations throughout the school year (typically during parent/teacher conference days, around the holidays, and during Teacher Appreciation Week in May).

Holiday Shop- Week of Mon. Nov. 30-Fri. Dec. 4
Plan and coordinate the school's Holiday Shop, giving students the opportunity to purchase affordable gifts for family and loved ones during the school day. Coordinate with the vendor to schedule the event and arrange product delivery, recruit and organize volunteers for setup, daily operations, and cleanup, and oversee the shop throughout the week to ensure a fun and successful experience for students. Family Movie/Dance Night- Thu. Feb. 18
Plan and run the family movie or dance night. Coordinate any food or drinks to be provided/sold and any drawings. Will request and coordinate for additional volunteers for event day. Scheduled for Thu. Feb. 18

Book Fair- Week of Mon. Mar. 1-Fri. Mar. 5
Help organize and promote the school's Book Fair by collecting donated books, setting up and maintaining the fair throughout the week, and coordinating volunteers as needed. Author's Day- likely March
This person is responsible for organizing Author's Day- a great event where we host an author for the students to meet. This person would collect book order forms and track orders. Tentative timing- March.

This committee is responsible for organizing International Night, a joint event with Hillcrest celebrating the cultural diversity of our community. Scheduled for April 22 (rain date April 29).

Color Run- Thu, May 13
Help plan and organize the annual Color Run, a joint event with Hillcrest where students run a fun course while colorful powder is tossed along the route. Committee members will coordinate with local businesses to secure sponsorships and donations, manage event registration, assist with planning and logistics, organize snacks and drinks, recruit and coordinate volunteers, and help ensure a fun, safe, and successful event on Color Run day.
